The child care health consultant’s basic function is to prevent harm and promote optimal health in child care programs. Deb provides guidance in the development of health policies as well as offer health and safety training for child care staff.
Deb follows the current research-based guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and Caring for Our Children National Health and Safety Performance Standards.
Of course! The ultimate goal is to make sure all children in child care settings are kept healthy and safe through collaborative relationships among parents, child care provider, and the CCHC.
Please be aware that diagnosis and treatment of individual children is not within the scope of practice; the primary care provider should be contacted for specific health concerns.
As the proverb illustrates, it takes a village to raise a child and for a small independent school it takes the thoughtful efforts and creative resources of the community to educate the village’s children. We are deeply grateful for your willingness to support our nature school, whether monetary, contributions of classroom supplies/equipment/furniture, kind words of encouragement, lifting our educators spirits with a special thank you, or your own unique offering. Your donation makes a difference and with your generosity and thoughtfulness, kidz go eco is a very special place for all the children that attend our school. We want to thank you for all your in kind support!
